Service Guidelines
Use of the Service is subject to all applicable University of Wisconsin Whitewater policies and local, state, and federal law. Applicable UW-Whitewater policies include but are not limited to all network usage, infrastructure, web publishing and copyright policies found on the iCIT website.
Service Description
Registration
Current students, and faculty or staff members of the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater are eligible to login to the Service. A UWW Net-ID is required.
Cost
As part of its overall program of services to the campus, iCIT/LTC provides the Service at no cost to eligible users.
Practices Regarding Use and Storage
iCIT may establish limits regarding use of the Service and may modify these limits at any time.
iCIT/LTC intends to provide access to the Service as long as he or she has an active Net-ID Account. Content kept beyond the tenure of any user on the UWW campus will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Confidentiality
Person-to-person conversations are not logged. Some software which can be used with the Service are capable of logging conversations, which are subject to the same laws and UW policies as email and other electronic communication.
The conversation of public and private conference rooms created for courses or departments are logged. Logging can be disabled upon request by the instructor of the course, or departmental representative.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is offered at the user's own risk. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Modifications to Service
iCIT/LTC reserves the right to change, at any time, at our sole discretion, the provisions of the Service.
