General Settings for third-party desktop clients (advanced users)

• Server to use: jabber.uww.edu
• Username: your UWW Net-ID
• Password: Your Net-ID password

To connect, your Jabber client must support secure connections. Try connecting with your client first. If you are unable to, search the settings for the option to use STARTTLS. If your client does not support it, configure your client to use SSL. Also, use port 5223.
